About the workshop:
This workshop is for performers who are interested in exploring ideas through both movement and words to create storytelling potential and bold, vivid physicality. We will dig into a short piece of phrasework to rev up our moving bodies, but the majority of the workshop will focus on overlapping explorations of movement and words using group improvisation, solo research, and duet/trio collaboration. The workshop will begin with a short warm-up that uses ballet vocabulary as a tool (not an aesthetic mold!) for finding coordination and researching a physical range that supports individual virtuosity.
